Weight loss tips for Vegetarians

All-vegetable meals don't have to be rabbit food-there's so much more than celery and carrot sticks. Chop up some fresh tomatoes, garlic, onions, zucchini, or whatever vegetables you have on hand. A vegan diet is easy. Some people choose to go vegetarian. Vegetarians simply give up the "meat" and continue to eat eggs and use dairy products (milk, cheese, and yogurt).

Many of us whom become vegetarian or vegan have the expectation that we will easily loss weight. If you're a vegetarian who is trying to loss weight, you may be looking for diet tips. Work with your doctor in order to achieve optimal nutritional status.

Weight loss tips for Vegetarians

  • Cheese is a good form of vegetarian protein; it is still a good idea to keep an eye on your saturated fat consumption.
  • Drink water or herbal teas for most of the day.
  • Eat a big nutritious breakfast in the morning. This will start your day out right and keep you full and energized, cutting the chances of an afternoon binge.
  • Sugar is bad news and the more you eat the harder it will be to lose weight.
  • Do eat lots of green leafy veggies.
  • Don't eat anything 3 hours before bedtime.
  • "Warning up" for 10 - 15 minutes as you slowly bring your heart rate up. Then work to keep the heart rate up for at least 30 minutes.
  • Eat more fruits and vegetables are low-calories, high-nutrition foods.
  • Have more veggies. Experiment with vegetables you haven't tried before or try out new recipes. If you substitute even two meals a week with a vegetable-based dish, you will save lots of calories.
Here's a list of foods to help you shed those extra kilos.
  • Oats is extremely high in fiber. Oats in the morning breakfast throughout a day, reducing your caloric intake.
  • Greens like spinach, broccoli, methi etc are high in fiber and very low in calories
  • Beans like kidney beans, soya beans etc with resistant fiber.
  • Cucumber is very high in water content to help to reduce water retention to weight loss.
  • Brown rice is not only high in fiber. It is the energy giving B complex vitamins to faster burning of calories.
  • Almonds and walnuts are excellent sources of vitamin and fiber.
  • Papaya an extremely low calorie fruit aiding in faster digestion of proteins in weight loss.
  • Orange and lemons are low in calories and high in fiber and vitamin C which is important in fat burning.
Weight loss won't happen overnight - it can take a few weeks to get the body to follow along with your diet. The exercise will burn off a little extra of these calories, and you'll naturally lose weight over time.

Reduce weight after delivery

  • Make time for breakfast in the morning.
  • Drink a lot of water to manage skin elasticity, weight loss and for overall health of your child.
  • Go easy on fatty and sugary foods, takeaways, fast food, sweets, cakes, biscuits, pastries and fizzy drinks.
  • Don't skip meals and have small meals at least 5 to 6 times a day.
  • Include foods high in protein, such as lean meat, chicken, skinless poultry, eggs, yoghurt and skimmed milk.
  • Perhaps the most logical option for new mothers is to go on a good diet.
  • Spot jog for 20 seconds at a stretch. Repeat this exercise for 5 times with a gap of 20 seconds.
  • Yoga is usually the first choice for new mums when it comes to effective weight loss.
