Laughing helps to Burn Calories

Laughter is the best medicine to lose weight and to have a healthy life. Being overweight can make you feel miserable, but if you want to lose those excess pounds, you’re better off trying to have a good laugh. Laughter also does many tricks and it relives stress. In fact, laughter therapy is a big deal and can improve your health in lots of different ways.

Laughing helps to Burn Calories

Laughing is a physical activity that uses muscles and requires more energy than standing or sitting doing nothing.  Strong laughter for 10-15 minutes daily can increase energy consumption by 10 to 40 calories per day. You can have a weight loss of 2kgs annually. A good laugh exercises the diaphragm, contracts your abdominal muscles and also works your shoulders. This will make you feel a lot more relaxed. In fact, laughing 100 times is the equivalent to 10 minutes on the rowing machine or 15 minutes on an exercise bike.

If you are dieting, think about adding laughter to your exercise schedule. A good sitcom might easily keep you laughing for 20 minutes or more. Laughing reduces tension and stress, and lowers anxiety and irritation, which are all major factors. To exercise laughing you can try to read some jokes in books or you can watch a funny video on You Tube.
